Fixed Income Panel - One Year and One Hike Later, has Anything Really Changed?
EU peripherals continue to dominate the news, though funding markets have improved most notably through covered bonds issuance. The key central banks have a tightening bias, with the ECB the first to move, though exit strategies still remain a challenge for all. Basel III has been agreed and Dodd-Frank enacted, with US regulators leading the way in Tri-Party Repo reform, greater use of CCPs and the use of “bail-inable” debt.
